Where the 8,900% comes from (all conditions)

A number like 8,900% APR should make you suspicious. Good. Suspicion is the correct response, and this post exists to survive it.

The source. The rewards are validator block-reward overflow: about 77.9M XOM per year of protocol emissions that flow to early liquidity providers. It is a fixed, protocol-defined stream, and you can read it in the OmniValidatorRewards and LiquidityOverflowPool contracts, whose addresses are on /technology.

The denominator. The pool is a few thousand dollars. A fixed annual stream divided by a tiny pool produces a four-digit percentage. The same stream over a $3.5M pool would produce roughly 9%. The live decline curve is published on /earn.

Every condition, in one list:

  1. Emission starts at hard launch. Today’s figure is the published early-provider rate. Nothing accrues before launch; pre-launch epochs are not paid retroactively.
  2. The rate falls as liquidity joins. That is how the design is meant to behave.
  3. Vesting: 30% of rewards immediately, 70% linearly over 90 days.
  4. Risks: impermanent loss on the LP position; smart-contract risk (7-pass internal audit and 86 dedicated tests done; third-party audit scheduled before hard launch, not yet published).
  5. Denomination: rewards are OmniCoin, whose price can fall; the pool itself is small and the broader XOM market is thin.
  6. Zero pool-price games: the one-click zap routes half your USDC through the DEX order book against dedicated counter-liquidity, designed for zero pool-price impact on entry.

If, after all of that, early-pool risk for the early-provider rate is a trade you want, the program terms are at app.omnibazaar.com/earn/early-lp, available where local rules permit. If it isn’t, we’d rather you skipped it informed than joined it confused. Either way, hold your own.
