Buy and sell, person to person, worldwide
Imagine your local farmer's market: a friendly place where anyone can buy, sell, and trade what they want, when they want, with whomever they choose. Now imagine that culture on a global scale. Sell your couch. Buy a TV. Launch an international business! That's the OmniBazaar marketplace.
There's no company in the middle holding the money. Your payment waits in a neutral holding account that neither you nor the seller controls. It's called escrowA neutral holding place for payment during a sale. Money moves to the seller only when 2 of the 3 parties (buyer, seller, referee) agree. . The money moves when two of the three people involved agree the deal is done: you, the seller, and a referee who only steps in if something goes wrong. Our cut is 1%, paid by the seller, printed on the receipt.
It's also a way into crypto that skips the exchange entirely. Sell something you already have, and take payment in crypto instead of cash. We call it Barter for Crypto™.
How a sale actually works
The live app, as of 2026-08-04. Most of what you see listed today is imported inventory while the seller base grows. We say so because you'd figure it out anyway.

You don't have to trust the person you're buying from
You can buy from a stranger on the other side of the world without either of you having to take the other on faith. Your payment sits in a smart contractA program on the blockchain that moves money by fixed rules everyone can read, with no manager’s discretion involved. until the deal is settled, so the seller knows the money is real and you know it will not be released until you have what you paid for. Releasing it is usually as simple as checking your messages and clicking a button, and honest trades never meet the referee at all. When a trade does go wrong, either side can call in an arbitrator, who looks at what happened and sides with one of you. Settling a dispute costs 5% of the disputed amount, and that is the only time the fee applies. The contract holds the money from start to finish, so nobody at OmniBazaar can move it.
Local marketplaces, hosted by anyone
OmniBazaar creates a global market of local marketplaces. Anyone can host one for their city or community on an ordinary laptop. There's no stake to post and no deposit to put up. The main network handles the global listings; your local market is yours.
Selling starts in the app. Create a listing, set your escrow terms, get paid in crypto on the fee schedule you already read. Your first real sale earns a one-time 500 XOM bonus, and you make money while making space.
Create a listingHow to get your first crypto without an exchange
The usual route into crypto is an exchange: sign up, hand over your ID and a bank account, wait for approval, then buy some. That shuts a lot of people out, and it puts a company between you and your money before you've even started.
There's an older way, the way people have always gotten hold of something new. You trade for it. Sell a bike, a day of plumbing, a batch of homemade soap, an old phone, and take payment in crypto instead of cash. No exchange account, no bank, no waiting for anyone's permission. We call it Barter for Crypto™. When what you want is bitcoin specifically, it's Barter for Bitcoin™.
It works the same as any other sale here: your buyer's payment waits in escrow, you deliver, the money is released, and you keep it in your own wallet. The difference is what you walk away holding. For a lot of people this is their first crypto, and they got it by selling something to someone who wanted it.
